    Meditation – Atmosphere and Music

  • It is not difficult to realize that meditation should be done in a comfortable setting. Being in a comfortable, quiet, relaxing setting puts you in the mood to meditate. Building an atmosphere of no stress, coupled with music can actually be a very relaxing and healing process for your mind and body. People meditate for many different reasons, and Here are a few of those reasons: enhance blood flow which enhances chi circulation, enhance breathing, calm the mind, draw in natural energy, reduce stress, etc.
  • Atmosphere
Should be well lit, with natural sunlight if possible.
Should be in a quiet setting, away from noisy electronics
Can be indoors or outdoors – depending on the season and the range of natural beauty you live in will decide your choice
Don’t let living in a city stop you from meditating, even if you need to drive to a park – sit on a park bench by yourself and focus on the nature which is surrounding
Set the mood with candles, incense, water falls ($20 you can buy a small water fall about 10 inches tall, more of a mini fountain)
  • Music
The music you use when meditating is an expression of yourself, yes, but at the same time you should try to avoid loud noises which may startle you. Also anything with too many lyrics which could make your mind sway into the song. Personally, I find that eliminates about 75% of the music – so I already know no rock, rap, country, techno, trance, house, pop, dance, etc.
I tend to stick with a meditation cd, a chakra building cd which helps bring in natural energy, a few chanting and deep breathing cds, I have also enjoyed the rainforest cds. I personally use the following two cd’s when introducing them to friends and family, they are Music for Zen Meditation and Chakra Suite.
    **Highly Recommended**

I listen to these two cd’s at least once a month, they truly are unique within the on the market. If you want to begin relaxing and taking control of your stress these cds will help you get started.

Building Links and Keywords through Blog Series

March 30th, 2009 Ricardo V 7 comments

Now that you have set up your blog post series, if you haven’t visit what is a blog series, it’s time to learn how to build keywords and links with blog post series. There are a few reasons why quality keywords are created in your niche field when using a blog post series and I’d like to go over a few.

  • Niche Topic = Niche Keyword
    1. It’s only logical to realize that posting about a “word” and repeating that “word” is how you build quality keywords. Focusing on certain terms or phrases within your niche to be picked up by search engines. Now say you start a blog post series about Article Marketing Traffic. Your series will mention the term “article marketing” in every single post a few times just by default. It will be normal to type in the word 4-5 times into your post just due to describing it.
  • Daily/Weekly Update = PR Love
    1. As you know if you are talking about something on your blog every single day/week you will be building keywords for it. This does not go unnoticed. When a search engine bot comes to your site on Day 1 and sees “keyword a,b,c” then comes to your site on Day 2 and sees “keyword a,b,c” that automatically throws a sort of question mark that this must be an important “key phrase”. Now you are building highly targeted keywords day in and day out and getting them indexed by search engines. The reinforcement of keywords that a blog series provides is the key here. By having your blog series strung together by daily posts, or set intervals weekly you are building a rhythm of like keywords.
  • Articles + Blog Series
    1. By using the tips here about article marketing traffic, which was a 4-5 day blog post series, you will be able to effectively get your blog series links out there. By creating like articles, and if needed rewriting your blog posts into articles, you will be building a viral link pattern through your series. In addition to articles getting indexed with related keywords your articles are all pointing at your related blog post series and their keywords.

Can We Be Happy Without Money?

Can We Be Happy Without Money?
As a child, I learned what it was like to live on a budget. You know, using coupons, taking vacations rarely, hardly seeing your parents because they were working 9 am to 5pm for someone, other than themselves. If you have ever been in a situation similar to the one I have described then you know that money can, will, and does help. However, there is a fine line when it comes to money and happiness.

When you have known what it like to live a life with a limited or strict supply of money you know how much stress it can add to your life and those you love. When your child’s birthday is coming up, and you want to give them the experience of having a “bowling birthday party” (for example) but you know that it was way out of the families budget how do you feel? It is not to say that you are a bad parent because you cannot provide, but you must be able to explain this to your child accordingly. Make sure you still plan something fun, yet thrifty so they have a memorable birthday. On the other hand, wouldn’t it be nice to not have to worry about finances at that moment? The stress that spending money we don’t necessarily have places on our bodies is enough to have worry over.

There is a difference between having money to spend wisely, and having money to spend on items to compensate for other areas that may be lacking in your life. If you are the type of shopper who likes to go to the department store with only one item in mind, yet leave with 20 items you did not plan for, then this is the opposite of why we need to be financially sound. Buying unnecessary items that you did not plan for does not bring happiness. I will repeat this because this is the most important sentence of this blog post; buying unnecessary items that you did not plan for does not bring happiness. 9 times out of 10 we will leave with 20 items instead of 1 simply because we do not have the money. Yes, it is true that more affluent persons will not spend their money as a person who is limited. There is a certain sense of knowing we should not spend or cannot spend that makes someone who is struggling financially spend even more. We do not want to feel or appear as if we cannot have something we want. A person who is living comfortably rich does not have this same need to feel adequate to others. A person who is living a completely rich lifestyle (being physically healthy, mentally sound, financially stable, eating properly, and reducing stress when applicable) has an even easier time of handling spending habits.

On the other hand it is easier to live a life where money is substantial for situations like the following: being able to buy your child the book they want from the bookstore without thinking twice, why? because reading will only help a child grow, and because there can never be too many books on the shelf as long as they are all being read!, being able to go for a massage when the pressure is really “on” in your life, why? because without managing stress by unwinding however suitable for you, you will eventually crash and not be able to work as you would like to, being able to send yourself back to school or being able to put your child through college with ease is something every parent should feel they have the ability to do. These are just a few of the reasons why we do need money. As long as we are putting our financial energy into places that have a deeper value than material items then we know we are not compensating for something that is lacking from our lives. We are taking stress out of our lives by earning a comfortable salary. Although salary may not be enough, there are many places to invest the salary we do earn. Places like real estate, affiliate programs, internet marketing, and much more are places that can help us earn a stable income and lead a completely rich lifestyle.

Setting up Your Blog Post Series

March 28th, 2009 Ricardo V No comments

Now that you have determined if you want an announced or unannounced blog post series it’s time to get everything started.

  • Announced Blog Post Series

Below is an example of the format I use to announce a blog post:

taichi This post is part of Tai Chi Tuesdays. Click Here if you would like to view more Tai Chi Tuesday posts.

Now that you have the basic table code you can decide where and how you would like to implement it into your blog. I currently have two weekly blog post series: Sara’s Sunny Sundays and Tai Chi Tuesdays. Blog Post Series are actually quite popular, look at ShoeMoney he has Free Shirt Fridays. Which has been a huge success for him and his sponsored free t-shirts to help advertise. Now that you have setup the above code, it’s time to create a category to put your blog series in.

Like we described before blog post series are different than categories, but in essence your blog post series needs to be put somewhere. So what better place then it’s own category? Above in the code you will see the link which says “Blog POST Series Category” which is where you would insert the category you have just created.

  • Unannounced Blog Post Series

There are a few directions you can go with unannounced blog post series, since they are unannounced you are never bound to that topic on any certain day. On the flip side say you have 4-5 days where you want to talk about a topic but it’s just spree of the idea/moment for this week you would create an unannounced blog post series. I currently just had something to this affect with my string of “ezine article marketing tips” post sequence.

Article Marketing Traffic Series
Weblog and Blogging Tips Series

Figure for everyday that I spoke about Article Marketing I would add the link to the new post to that page. Now whenever someone reads that post they will be able to find all the posts which were created after it, in the form of an unannounced blog post series.
